Terms of service

These terms set out the rules for using the website at detectum.pl and the conditions for providing services by electronic means, in accordance with the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services.

• Provider — Agencja Detektywistyczna Detectum sp. z o.o., ul. Podolska 21, 81-321 Gdynia, Poland, KRS 0001202919, VAT ID PL5862423698, REGON 543131428.
• Site — the website available at detectum.pl together with its subpages.
• User — any person using the Site.
• Service — a service provided by electronic means within the meaning of the Act on the provision of electronic services.

The Provider supplies the following services electronically:

• making informational content about the agency and its offer available — free of charge, without registration,
• a contact form allowing an enquiry to be sent — free of charge, on a one-off basis, at the User's request.

The Site is informational. Its content does not constitute an offer within the meaning of the Polish Civil Code, nor legal advice. The terms for providing detective and legal services are set out in a separate contract with the client.

To use the Site you need:

• a device with internet access,
• a current web browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled,
• an active e-mail account — if you use the contact form.

The Provider is not liable for problems arising from failure to meet these requirements, in particular from using outdated software.

Using the Site is voluntary and free of charge. The User undertakes to use the Site in a manner consistent with the law and good practice.

The User must not supply unlawful content, including content infringing the personal rights of third parties, offensive or misleading content, or content containing malicious software.

Actions disrupting the Site are prohibited, in particular placing excessive load on the infrastructure and attempting unauthorised access to the Provider's resources.

Using the form requires a name, phone number and e-mail address, together with ticking the consent to process personal data for the purpose of replying.

The agreement for the form service is concluded for a definite period and ends once the message is sent or use of the form ceases.

Sending an enquiry does not oblige either party to conclude a contract for detective or legal services.

The content of the Site, including texts, graphics, photographs and page layouts, is protected by copyright and belongs to the Provider or is used under appropriate rights.

Copying, distributing or using this content for commercial purposes without the Provider's prior written consent is not permitted. Quotation with attribution is allowed to the extent provided by the right of quotation.

Complaints about the Site and services provided electronically may be sent to biuro@detectum.pl or in writing to the Provider's registered address.

A complaint should identify the User, describe the objection and state the expected resolution. The Provider handles complaints within 14 days of receipt and replies by the same channel.

The Provider makes every effort to keep the Site running continuously but reserves the right to technical breaks needed for maintenance or updates.

The Provider is not liable for damage resulting from use of the Site contrary to these terms, nor for the content of external sites reached through links.

The rules for processing Users' personal data are described in the privacy policy, and the rules for cookies in the cookie policy. Both documents form an integral supplement to these terms.

The Provider reserves the right to amend these terms for important reasons, in particular changes in the law or in the scope of services. Amended terms take effect on the day they are published on the Site.

Matters not covered by these terms are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on the provision of electronic services.

Any disputes are settled by the court having jurisdiction under general rules. Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, including the ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
